Nightshift 68 - Courtyard

Baka has taken an old classic game, Chutes and Ladders, and decided to give it his own spin so as to torment unsuspecting patients! Don’t worry, there are rules, however they may change along the way if Baka so chooses. In the meanwhile, here are the ones that he’s decided must be in place so as to keep the integrity(?) of the game intact.
Requirements to play/Ways to pass if needed:
Entry into the playing field (the dirt path) – Once patients step onto the dirt path, the Courtyard will seem a little different. The dirt path will have lines on it and look a little more polished while the surrounding area will suddenly become like cardboard cutouts. The area will lighten as well, no longer looking dark from the night time sky. If you listen closely, you may hear the faint echoes of children laughing and/or crying.
All players will be taken immediately to square 1! Patients who do not enter the dirt path will see only the courtyard as is until they do. This is one way of bypassing
Once the path has been entered, it is possible to try and leave the game, however the courtyard will not revert from the gameboard setup this way and there will be dangers! However, it will be possible to enter either the Gardner's Shed or the right side Cafeteria entrance, if your group can make it! This is one way of bypassing
Baka’s Interest – if he ends up not liking you for some reason (personal grudge, you said the wrong thing, you smell funny), he might let you pass by. Same rule applies for if he is currently bugging some other group that has him more interested. This is one way of bypassing… but it doesn’t happen very often… e-mail mun if considering!
How to play:
BEFORE BEGINNING!! Determine if you would like your group to move together (one pawn) or free on each other (many pawns). This will determine how many times your game master (Baka) will roll two-six sided dice to determine your move or moves. Baka himself will be taking up position in the middle of the Pond on a light pink floatie, to observe.
Play is linear from 1 to 34 unless the colored spaces are landed on. If a chute is landed on, the player(s) will fall through a winding pipe that will spit them out at the corresponding spot. Landing on a Ladder meanwhile will cause a winding ladder to grow and arch over to the corresponding spot. Both are guaranteed to have loop-de-loops, so be prepared! There are also special chutes that can be landed on that will take players out of the playing field. One will chute player(s) to the gardener's shed which will suspend play when they return into the Courtyard, however returning to the track will start the game again. The other will Ladder players up onto the Chapel Roof, suspending play in the same way.
To get out of the game the proper way, get a roll that gets you either to or beyond square 34 and you may enter the building, possibly with a prize!
What is a Chute and what is a Ladder?:

Ladders (red):
6 -> 22
13 -> 27
10 -> 31
Special (purple)
11 -> Chapel Roof
32 - Chapel Roof

Chutes (green)
33 -> 2
16 -> 8
24 -> 29
Special (White)
16 -> Gardner's Shed
23 -> Gardner's Shed
Finally, space 20 is an extra special space! Baka really won't like it if you land on that one. You might not like it either, but he'll like it even less!
